Alpha

1 and 2 MW

The Alpha model, is a pre-fabricated biomass fired steam boiler plant in Focus BioEnergy’s standard program. The Alpha model has a standard 1 MW boiler or a standard 2 MW boiler. An Alpha model is installed in special designed units, that takes up minimum space and are capable of being relocated if needed.

All components are installed before shipping, which makes the installation period on site as short as possible. The Alpha model is able to supply steam only, steam and electricity or heat and electricity, ranging from 1.0 – 1.3 MW and 2.0 – 2.6 MW thermal energy output from the boiler depending on moister content of fuel.

A biomass plant with a Alpha model boiler is a standard plant. The technical installation, such as boiler, grate, pumps, water treatment and etc. are all of the same type as used in our larger Bravo-, Charlie – and Delta model, only with minor difference.

As the rest of Focus BioEnergy’s biomass plants, the Alpha model can be customized through a variation of parameters, despite being a standard pre-fabricated power plant.

The units are 4 by 4 meters with a flat roof, the length will depend on the amount of equipment that is needed.
The units only need a number of supporting foundations, depending on the length of the units. Outside the prefabricated units there will be placed ash containers and the chimney. Also the fuel handling equipment will be placed outside the units.

Biomass

A Focus BioEnergy steam boiler plant is fired with biomass. There are many different types of biomass, useful for firing a steam boiler plant.

  • Wood pellets
  • Straw
  • Straw pellets
  • Energy crops
  • Waste wood
  • Olive stones
  • Other agricultural waste.

The moister content of the biomass can be up to 40%
